Julian Samodulski, DPT, CSCS |
|
Julian, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, is co-founder and practicing therapist at ProMet Physical Therapy, PC. Julian’s interest in anatomy, physiology and kinesiology originates from multiple sources; such as healthy living and the habitual effects of daily living. Throughout his studies, in order to understand human anatomy, Julian took on courses in anatomy drawing and forensic studies. He also had the opportunity to study at the Archeological Museum of Abdera and the Archeological Museum of Paros in Greece while at The Honors College at Adelphi University. Following his undergraduate studies, Julian began his career working with children with developmental disabilities—applying behavioral techniques, carrying out behavioral programs and integrating children into socially inclusive settings for elementary-level schooling. He went on to receive his doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Long Island University’s Department of Physical Therapy’s first doctoral class. Through the doctoral program, Julian practiced with clinical affiliations in New York City and Long Island hospitals and took a specific interest in orthopedic injuries. Over time, Julian's interests in orthopedic injuries led him to attain the title of Senior Sports Therapist at one of Manhattan’s premier rehabilitation facilities and, soon after, open his own private PT practice here in Queens. Today, Julian’s focus is in acting as a resource to his colleagues within his private practices in Kew Gardens and Middle Village, promoting quality care and applying knowledgeable patient management for patients of varying conditions. Julian’s practice at ProMet Physical Therapy is quite diverse—with patients of different diagnoses—lending to a non-wavering, constant interest in solving patient problems and improving the quality of performance of everyday activities. Most recently, Julian became accredited by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). This gives Samodulski an edge with athletics as, this same year, the NCAA passed legislation requiring all Division 1 strength and conditioning coaches to be CSCS certified.
